Extra, Extra {New Things You Won’t Want to Miss} – Eastern NC, Wilson, NC, Rocky Mount NC, Goldsboro NC, Greenville NC, Family, Couple Photographer

Life has been crazy these past few months but new things, good things, have been in the works.  I’m so excited to be telling you about a few of them right here, right now!!

~My website has gotten a new look thanks to Lydia Sipes! I wanted things to be simple, clean, classic and refreshing! I think she did a very good job with the ideas that I gave her!

~I am now offering a few new products that I LOVE! The products are gallery wraps and leather albums!

For those who may not know what a gallery wrap is, it is a canvas that wraps around a frame and is ready to hang when you receive it! I love them. They have beautiful, rich colors, and have a much more sophisticated feel than frames. They are also good when you don’t want to have to coordinate frames!

To clarify the leather albums, they look more like books to me but they are gorgeous. There are several different leather colors to choose from for the cover and one photo is showcased on the front.  The inside pages are “lay flat”, meaning that if there is a photo that crosses over the page, there is no break in the photo, it flows seamlessly together. The pages are thick and the paper makes colors rich and vibrant. If you have younger children, the thick pages are wonderful.  You can let your child look through the album without worrying that they’ll tear the pages.

I am so excited to be offering these two new products because I want you to be able to see your images and see them often! So many times we get photos taken, get prints of the ones we love, promise ourselves that we are going to make that photo book (I’ve been putting off making an album of my trip to Italy since April!), or get those frames but then we place the prints in a drawer.  Then ,we find them months later, hidden under things and maybe even (heaven forbid) bent up!!  It’s happened to me before so I’m preaching to the choir.

One thing I’m learning and want to pass on to you is that hidden photos don’t make you happy. They can’t remind you of how you felt at a certain time and place! That’s why these two products have me so excited! They are going to allow you to revisit those special moments and see them as often as you want to!

~I am changing my focus from photographing a little bit of everything to mainly focusing on photographing families & pets, couples, children and brides-to-be.

Today I saw a funny photo on Facebook which said, “I’m a photographer, I make people immortal…What’s your superpower?” I loved it!! While it was pretty funny, there is such great truth in it too.

I don’t like being sad or telling sad stories or making others sad (or making people feel guilty – that’s the LAST thing I want to do) however, sometimes we need to be reminded of WHY photos are so important. Photos are all that we have once someone is no longer in our life. They immortalize those special people and memories for us.

So, these are the things that I’ve been working on for you! I am so very excited to see what life has in store over the next few months.

If you haven’t already, go over to my Facebook page and show me some love!  Details about my holiday sessions are up there as well!

Let me know your thoughts on the products I’ve mentioned above.  What is one way you show off your photos so they won’t get stuck in a drawer?  Also, has there ever been a time that you wished you had a photograph of something but didn’t? Tell me the story, I’d love to hear.

Sara ♥
